Do's and don't's using our site

Young people visit many websites, use chat rooms and the 'Contact Us' pages maybe say what they think about the site or ask specific questions. Remember please that anyone especially web-weirdo's can use the web and they could pretend to be a young person or someone who wants to get in touch with YOU!!

Here are some ideas when using our site or when using other websites. Try to remember these points and you should be safe from those web-weirdo's. They know exactly what to say to get you to trust them.

Remember

1 Please try not to use your own name or family name when you use our 'Ask the Team' bulletin board, or anywhere else. Do use a nickname and a password you can easily remember.
2 Don't ask for other peoples' personal information. Do this and we could stop you from using our site.
3 Definitely don't arrange to meet anyone on the site. Remember the telephone numbers and named contact details are all professional organizations.
4 DON'T be rude, crude, racist, use threatening language because we will delete your question or information and then stop you from using our site.
5 Don't speak English? Send us your question in your language. We will need to check out what you've asked or said before we can reply to the bulletin board, your reply may take longer than 24 hours. This is also incase your trying to get around point 3.
6 Do keep your user name and password safe. That means don't go telling it to ANYONE, not even your bestest friend(s) or they could find out what you've been asking.
7 Do respect other people when you use the site.
8 Don't advertise on our site. If you put a website address in your question we may remove it if we don't think it is suitable.
